Rivendell Numerology and Chancellor Arrive Safely in Ireland

Father and son duo, Peter and Matthew Morrison have both been regular fixtures in the 1.50m classes in South African showjumping with their respective equine partners, Rivendell Numerology and Rivendell Chancellor. But when the family decided to relocate to Ireland, the export process began for the two top-level stallions. Travelling alongside Laurence Mowatt’s Evergreen M, the three horses started their several month-long journeys to Europe.

With the 21-day quarantine in Cape Town followed by the 90-day layover in Mauritius and stops through several European countries, the stallions finally landed at their new home base, River Lodge Equestrian, in Ireland this afternoon. Whilst awaiting the arrival of the 2 stallions, Matthew has been actively riding and competing local young horses for both Morrison Sporthorses and River Lodge Equestrian in Ireland while father, Peter, has been actively promoting his developing company, Peter Morrison Equestrian Enterprises, which operates in both Ireland and South Africa, as well as their new equestrian setup – Morrison Sporthorses. With the 2 stallions now safely at their new home, it’s only a matter of time before we see the 2 pairings back in full swing at the top levels doing South African showjumping proud.
