We are deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Rob Martin, a well respected KZN showjumping committee member and FEI 2* steward, who unfortunately lost his battle with cancer earlier today. Rob was a regular feature in the showjumping community at shows across the country but primarily at the Durban Shongweni Club in KwaZulu-Natal where he officiated regularly. Rob chaired the KwaZulu-Natal showjumping committee for many years and then remained on the committee as a member while serving on the SASJ Council as well.
He leaves behind his wife, Caryn, and two daughters Hayley and Kelly. Our condolences go out to his family and friends and we thank Rob for all his years of dedication and commitment to the sport and industry. He will be dearly missed.
