No. 4: The Legendary Clyde Z Hangs Up His Boots

The retirement of one of South Africa’s favourite horses was an emotional day for the Neill family and for all those who loved to see Clyde around the shows. While his retirement is well deserved and he will continue his life in luxury, we will miss seeing him and Cathryn Neill in the competition arenas. With over 1,050 page views, Clyde’s retirement has earned 4th place on this list, but for those who knew Clyde, he’ll always be number 1.

No. 3: Beating the Time Allowed: Top Tips from Martin Fuchs, Cian O’Connor and more

In the early weeks of our launch, we took a chance and decided to contact some of the world’s best riders and course designers, and… it worked. We loved writing this article and think it’s been a great piece of education for those who have been interested. With over 1,300 views, this is your 3rd most viewed article for 2020, but it couldn’t have happened without those who helped us in our early days. Thank you.

No. 2: 2021 Hind Boot Rules – What You Need to Know

The hind boot rule has officially taken effect as of January 1st, 2021, and is definitely information that every showjumper needs to know. A single ruleset is now in place and all age categories will fall under the same umbrella. With over 1,950 views, the information has certainly been valuable to our viewers and claims the 2nd position.

No. 1: Outdoor Grand Prix Cancelled due to COVID-19

The most viewed article of 2020 was a slam dunk with over 2,950 page views. The news broke midway through the event and so it’s no wonder that the news spread like wildfire that the event would not continue the next morning. While it was a tragedy for all who were entered, the right decision was made and we applaud the show organisers for standing by their decision. The drastic action also enabled the 2020 SA Youth Champs to happen the very next week.

With 2020 behind us we look forward to the year ahead and all the excitement it has in store for the showjumping community. We look forward to seeing you at the various events throughout the 2021 showjumping calendar and sharing our articles with you in the future.
