Anthony Kay Adds 2 KP Warmbloods To His String

Many in the industry will know that Anthony Kay has a keen eye for potential in young horses. His career as a successful horse dealer as part of Ebb & Flow Stables and Horse Sales in Port Elizabeth, affiliations with the Assegai Stud, and his competitiveness in the 1.50m levels have given Anthony a reputation of really knowing his horses and those he sources for clients. Anthony has now added 2 young KP Warmbloods to his string.

Having pegged several horses for the open grades from their young years, including Assegai Sherman, Assegai Canterlara, and Assegai Cognac, it was no surprise when Anthony announced that he had purchased 2 very young horses from the KP Warmblood Stud. His first purchase, KP Chernobyl, by Cornet Obolensky out of a Spartacus mare, is a spectacular 14-month-old filly with movement and presence to envy while his 2nd choice was Chernobyl’s half-sister, KP Nocturnal, who is by Nixon van’t Meulenhof out of the same dam lime. At just 4 weeks old, this gorgeous young filly is one of the biggest foals that the KP Warmblood Stud has ever had, second only to Laudanum who is on the verge of breaking into the 1.50m grades.

Having been incredibly successful as a horse dealer for many years, Anthony has proven his ability to find quality horses and pair them with suitable homes, but this time, the suitable home was his. Both youngsters will stay at KP until they are old enough to be backed and produced, after which they will join Anthony’s current string, Assegai Sherman and Diamonds Applause.

Congratulations on your new KP Warmbloods Anthony and may you have incredible success with them both as they grow and develop into competitive sport horses showcasing the best local breeding has to offer.
