Bronwyn Dos Santos has a new Future Prospect: Welcome to the World Lagavulin

Following the retirement of the top-level thoroughbred mare, Fountain Of Love aka Lilly, from the 1.50m competition arena, it was announced earlier in the year that this special horse was in foal to the incredibly talented and dapper stallion, Capital Levubu. There’s now good news in the Dos Santos household, as the news broke of the arrival of Lagavulin on the morning of December 15th.

Fountain Of Love and Lagavulin

Bronwyn Dos Santos, the owner of mom Lilly, dad Levubu, and baby Lagavulin, successfully competed Fountain of Love, by Kahal out of an Elliodor mare, at the highest levels for many years after producing her up the ranks and has since followed suit with Capital Levubu. Purchased from the Capital Stud, Levubu, by Cashas out of a Cassini I mare, has proved to be a fantastic partner to Bronwyn as the pair have slowly climbed the heights to the 1.40m classes in which the pair look comfortable and confident – in the new year, the pair will likely be moving up to the 1.50s.

Lagavulin, a gorgeous dark bay filly, has stolen the hearts of the Dos Santos family and those of the showjumping community with her long legs, unique markings and wonderful character. A superstar of the future with the fantastic bloodlines and competitive track records brought through from her parents, we will all be eagerly following her journey to the competition ring in several years time. Named after the Lagavulin single malt Scotch whisky, that is said to be rich, smoky, and elegant, perhaps the new filly will inherit some of the same traits as her namesake.

Congratulations to Bronwyn and the Dos Santos family on this glorious addition to your yard.
