Charley-Ann Crockart Picks up a New Ride

Charley-Ann Crockart has been a regular feature in our articles with her incredible competitiveness that has seen her winning throughout the grades. Her recent return to the 1.50m ranks at the South African Adult Championships in Shongweni marked the start of a new era as Charley and her then 1.50m ride, The Burgh’s Epomein, continued by winning their first 1.50m class at the recent Outdoor Grand Prix. Charley-Ann has had a very busy few months with several new horses joining her CC Equestrian team, her new youngsters that are currently in Holland, and her competitive string that is getting stronger every day.

Alongside her current rides; Epomein, Bibi Blocksburg, and Divalta, owned by Stan and Leoni van der Burgh; the most recent addition to Charley-Ann’s string is yet another The Burgh Equestrian horse, Compangnon, but this one is owned by Charley-Ann. The striking young stallion by Comme I’ll Faut, famously competed by Marcus Ehning, out of a Quidam de Revel mare shows plenty of promise for the future with his incredible agility, scope and, of course, blue-blood pedigree.

With Charley-Ann’s competitive nature, support from Leoni and Stan van der Burgh, and her incredible string of horses including Serenela’s Capital Lord Derby, Callaho Victory Love, and Altamiras Papillion, Charley-Ann is a force to be reckoned with in any competition she attends. The addition of Compangnon only strengthens her string and highlights the talents and qualities she possesses as a rider and horsewoman.
