The Mediterranean Equestrian Tour spans a three-week-long period from the 29th of September to the 19th of October taking place in Oliva, Valencia and Oliva Nova, Spain. Amongst the competitors from various countries, one of our very own, Genene Burnett, was seen flying the South African flag high upon her trusty steed, Vanda Gucci. A competition that is famous the world over for having some of the toughest competitors over some of the most technical tracks was a highlight for Genene and her team as they soared to victory in a highly competitive class.

The Trofeo CHG – Construcciones Hispano Germanas S.A – Bronze tour final took place on Sunday the 11th of October where Genene and Vanda Gucci took the win with the only double clear in the 1.40m Grand Prix. This wonderful South African win comes after Genene’s successful warm-up classes the weekend before where the pair placed 6th in both the A2 and 2 phase classes and also finished 7th in the 1.40m jump-off class on Sunday prior to the Grand Prix.
