Kelly O’Connor Reunites With Leila For European Campaign

Team RotoFlo International has been incredibly active over the last few months with several game-changing decisions being made. Following the initial announcement that Capital Kamron would be heading to Belgium with Kelly O’Connor, the second story broke of Capital Moonlight joining in on the action. RotoFlo International has also been making some major changes in South African with several top local riders picking up rides from the team including Mandy Johnstone, Charley-Ann Crockart, and Dominey Alexander. But now there’s more news, as Kelly has been reunited with a horse she produced to add a third steed to her European string – Leila.

After the announcement of Kelly heading to Europe, fellow team riders, Jade and Janine Coetzee, who had been pupils of Kelly’s had to find suitable replacements and so Jade took up tuition with Dominey Alexander and Janine went under the tutelage of Charley-Ann Crockart. Dominey also found himself with a new ride from the RotoFlo team in the form of Rotoflo Q Belissimo Z, a stunning liver chestnut stallion by Q. Breitling LS out of a Quidam de Revel mare, and, while we have not yet seen the partnership in action, it’s surely a matter of time before we do.

While the 2 geldings, Kamron and Moonlight, have been quarantined in Cape Town, their long-awaited flight to Mauritius will be coming up shortly. However, this has not been enough for RotoFlo International as the team has announced the addition of a 3rd horse who will now be joining the boys in Belgium in the form of Leila.

Originally competed by Kelly O’Connor, the 9-year-old mare by Lord Pezi out of a Cornet d’Obolensky mare has been active under the Biogen banner with Paige Goetsch. With a successful run of form in the 1.20m and 1.30m competition heights, Paige and Leila created a solid partnership. Despite her small stature, Leila’s quirks and competitive spirit are great attributes for a competitive open horse.

The addition of Leila to team RotoFlo International’s European Campaign is a sign of the team’s level of commitment, dedication, and the vision that Clive Robertson and Sharlee-Ann have for the future of their brand.

Congratulations to all parties and best of luck with your continued journey.
