New “Redhead” Joins Alexa Stais’s String

Alexa Stais, or Lexi as she is regularly known, is a popular South African showjumper based in Germany with Hilmar Meyer. Her journey to success has seen her compete at the highest levels of the sport including the Youth Olympic Games in 2014 and, more recently, Nations Cup competitions. Her top-level horse, Bjerglunds Cuba, helped her qualify for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon in 2018 but an unfortunate injury forced the pair to withdraw.

Since then, Lexi has regularly competed in the top grades on the chestnut gelding, Quintato, alongside her numerous other jumping talents available for sale through Hilmar Meyer Sporthorses. The most recent addition to Lexi’s showjumping string is another chestnut, but this time, it’s a mare called Cera. At 11 years old, Cera has been a top-level campaigner out of the stables of Swedish rider, Denise Svensson, but now joins Lexi where the pair will be seen together competing in Spain in the coming weeks.

With 20 registered horses on the FEI website, Lexi is kept incredibly busy with all the competitive horses and the addition of Cera only enables Lexi to push her boundaries and tackle the showjumping industry across all height categories. A dedicated athlete, Lexi has picked up a great fan following across the globe and her most recent addition, Cera, will continue to ignite the excitement of her fans as we look forward to seeing Lexi take on the very top grades and become an international sensation.
