Greg was an incredible personality in the showjumping community with an infectious smile, bubbly personality and great talent for course design. He joined the Port Elizabeth Riding Club as a member in 1993 and became an asset to the club, not only as a course designer but also as a general handyman, mentor to many local riders and friend to all who needed one, in the 27 years since. He had often been seen sharing words of encouragement and providing a friendly ear when it was needed but above all, he was a hard-working man with a heart of gold.
